You are currently in the kitchen. It's the place where Tohru work her magic with her heaven sent dishes. Shigure, Yuki and Kyo are always pleased when they indulge on Tohru's meals. Always excited with Tohru's cooking, the said three gentlemen simply can't wait for their next meal. Itadakimasu!

Tohru Honda is an orphaned high school student, Tohru ends up sharing house with Shigure, Yuki and Kyo Sohma. She loves to cook, is an excellent housekeeper and has an after school job as a janitor to help pay her tuition fees.

She's always polite, and is extremely kind and selfless; in fact, the other characters sometimes have to tell her that she needs to look out for her own interests.

Yuki is the Rat of the zodiac. Known as "The Prince" at school, Yuki is very pretty and refined, and has many admirers at school, but has a hard time being social; he wishes that he could be with people as friends, rather than admired and worshiped from afar. With Tohru's help, however, Yuki is gradually able to loosen up.

Generally quiet and polite, Yuki is an amazing martial artist who enjoys gardening. He has a garden in a small patch of forest near the walkway leading to Shigure's house which he and Tohru call their "secret base".

Kyo is the Cat, an animal not in the zodiac, but which legend says would have been were it not tricked by the rat into missing the induction feast. Kyo despises Yuki and has dedicated his life to someday defeating him.

He has social problems but gradually overcomes his "temperamental" attitude.

Despite many months of strict training, Kyo has never managed to even land a decent blow on Yuki.

Shigure is the dog of the zodiac and the owner of the house where he, Tohru, Yuki and Kyo live. He is a writer who writes both academic books and romance novels. One word: Carefree.

tohru: What do you want for dinner?

kyo: I like to have fish. Deep fried fish? I'm not sure what... maybe tilapia or salmon. Oooh add salmon with barbecue sauce.

tohru: All right. Sounds great.

kyo: So what do you want me to help you with?

tohru: Oh that was it. I just wanted to know what you guys might want for dinner. Yuki-kun, ano... I need help with something.

yuki: Sure, Honda-san.

kyo: ... ano na, Tohru... sigh. Nevermind.

yuki: Tadaima...

tohru: Okaeri. You're just in time for dinner!

yuki: No, thanks. I'm not really hungry.

shigure: Yuki-kun, how was work?

yuki: No, thanks. I'm not really hungry.

tohru: ...

shigure: I think what he's trying to tell us is that we should save something for him.

tohru: leftovers?

kyo: So! What did I miss?

yuki: Well... I'd be lying if I said no. But I'm not that worried as of now. I can handle it, right?

tohru: Sohma-kun, you're very adept at working. The people at school knows that you'll be fine. It's going to be simple for you, Sohma-kun. Ganbatte and just have fun. It's like playing a grueling game. But you get paid for it. You shouldn't be very serious of work at this age, right?

yuki: Playing a game?

tohru: Yeah.

tohru: Ummm... still let me see if you've got a fever.

kyo: I- don't have- one. Just a cold. *sniff*

shigure: AWNO! Poor Kyo! And I bet you're looking forward to go to school today! The anguish! The disappointment! The frustration! And I know that you're always excited to come to class! Whatever shall we do?

yuki: Mmmm. Gochisosama deshita! I guess we'll be going now.

shigure: Wow. That was fast. Is Tohru finished?

ayame: I should have her help me with the shop!

kyo: NANI?!

yuki: Brother, stop treating Ms. Honda like a property. Besides, she's already working part time.
ayame: Hai hai. I'm just kidding. But it's pretty boring at the shop.

yuki: *raises eyebrows* WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT? Are you looking for pleasure with Tohru-kun?

shigure: That's a pretty awkward way of putting it, Yuki-kun.

kyo: Do you mind?! Tohru-kun's enjoying her gourmet! ... and Ayame's really loud!

ayame: You didn't mention, Kyo. Anyway, the three of them went for a walk. They woke up early. You were still sleeping sound so they didn't bother waking you. You should wake up early too, little brother.
